School Year High School Volunteer Program
How do I become a volunteer?
We are currently accepting high school volunteer applications. We will begin accepting phone calls to schedule interviews on August 19, 2024. Availability for positions may be variable. Late afternoon (after 4pm), evening and weekend positions are very limited.
High School Seniors who would like to complete their senior project at NWH during the spring and have availability to volunteer on weekdays before 4 p.m. should call the Volunteer Office at 617-243-6048 to inquire about senior project placement availability.
Our staff members and volunteers all make mutual commitments to provide quality service. Because of the time we spend to train our volunteers, we expect a minimum of 2-4 hours of volunteer service each week, depending on individual assignments. This is equivalent to a total minimum commitment of 50 hours over 1 year.
