Visiting Hours and Guidelines
Regular Visiting Hours 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
While the regular visiting hours are 11 a.m. – 8 p.m., some areas of patient care have specific hours for visitors. Complete information is below regarding number of visitors, mask requirements, and policy for essential visitors and support persons.
Inpatient psychiatry
- Visitors to inpatient psychiatry are permitted weekdays from 5:30 -7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 3:30 – 7:30 p.m.
- All visitors must be scheduled with the department.
- Visits are kept to a maximum of 30 minutes.

Hospitalized patients
Hospitalized patients may have two visitors at a time. Visitors must wear a mask throughout the visit. Visiting hours are lower in this page.
Emergency room and outpatient clinic appointments
One patient visitor or support person is preferred in select outpatient areas, however up to two visitors/support people may be allowed. Outpatient areas where two visitors are allowed include office visits. Some outpatient areas still allow only allow one patient visitor or support person. These areas include the emergency department, surgical or procedural rooms, or clinics.
Essential visitors and support persons
- Essential visitors are visitors for patients receiving end-of-life care.
- Support persons include birth partners, parents/caregivers of pediatric patients, attorneys of patients, and designated support persons for patients with disabilities.
- Visitor policies and visiting hours vary slightly depending on the patient and unit being visited. Please review the below information for additional information.
Labor, delivery, maternity, and Special Care Nursery
- Patients in labor and delivery may be accompanied by two (2) support persons.
- Maternity patients may have two (2) visitors at a time.
- Special Care Nursery patients may be seen by two (2) banded support persons at a time.
