Gastroenterology and Nutrition

In the Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Unit we diagnose common and complex gastrointestinal and nutritional problems in infants, children, teens, and young adults. We work together with the Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Program at Mass General for Children.

Our Services

We offer comprehensive gastrointestinal and nutritional care on an outpatient basis in our GI Clinic. Our gastroenterologists also provide care in the Pediatric Emergency Room, as well in the Pediatric Inpatient Care Unit.

One of our main methods of diagnosing gastrointestinal and nutritional disorders is endoscopy, a procedure that allows us to see inside the esophagus, stomach, and gastrointestinal tract with a small camera called an endoscope.

Directions

If you and your child are coming to an appointment, use the following directions to help you find your way once you are on the campus of Newton-Wellesley Hospital:

• Enter the east driveway.
• Take second right into the East Entrance driveway.
• Park in the Patient/Visitor Garage.
• Take the elevator down to the first floor of the garage. Enter the hospital through the East Entrance. (Please note: If there is inclement weather or you are rushed, please use the Valet Parking service at the entrance.)
• Endoscopies: Check in at the Pre-Surgical desk located in the East Entrance.
• Clinic Appointments: Walk past the check-in desk and follow signs to the east or south elevators.
